ABOUT EMILY
Emily grew up in central Ohio with a love of animals. She was introduced to horses at the age of three and never looked back. She spent her whole childhood immersed in animals of all kinds, from her dogs and horses to pet snakes and mice.
Emily graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences. She continued to own, ride, show and train horses professionally throughout college. She was particularly interested in natural horsemanship methods and enjoyed studying the psychology and true nature of horses. This has given her a refreshing perspective in her relationship with dogs.
In 2017 she began training dogs professionally and purchased her first GSP, Blitz. Since then, Emily has traveled across 13 states to expand her knowledge of working with dogs. She has enjoyed studying and participating in a variety of dog training methods and events, including obedience, dock diving, lure coursing, conformation showing and above all, working with gun dogs. She is an active member of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association and has prepared multiple dogs for the Natural Ability test and successfully tested her own down in Utility with a Prize 1. in 2021, she acquired her first lab puppy, Ember. Emily has since been involved with retrievers and preparing and testing dogs through the Hunting Retriever Club (HRC).
Emily's lifetime experience of reading and working with animals and effective communication with owners allows her to be an indispensable source to taking your companion to the next level. Emily resides in Mocksville, NC with her pups, Blitz (GSP), Ember (lab), Envy (lab) and Pinky (pit bull).
