Maple is an exceptional GSP in all regards. She is affectionate, hardworking and is very handler-oriented. Maple has been incredibly easy to work with since the time she came home at 8-weeks-old. Maple has a natural off-switch and is just as happy to spend the day hiking and swimming as she is to spend the day on the couch. Her easy-going personality and desire to please will make her the ultimate versatile companion.
Maple is a quick study and loves to work. She has been extensively socialized with environments, people and dogs. With her friendly and outgoing nature, she has yet to meet a stranger. Maple has frequented a variety of places, from home improvement and clothing stores to restaurants and hiking trails. She does excellent in the car (in or out of a crate) and easily adjusts to any new environment.
Maple has been introduced to quail and pigeons and has a ton of natural ability. She will be a close-ranging dog with a good nose and a lot of point. She has been introduced to gunfire properly and is not gun shy. Maple has a solid foundation in obedience, including a reliable, off-leash recall. She is familiar with sit, down, place, along with a variety of other behaviors from touch (put your front feet on it) to standing stacked. She is very food motivated and works hard for her meals.
Maple is calm and quiet in her crate overnight and for long durations throughout the day, at home or in the car. She is potty trained and is great about not chewing up things that aren't hers.
Maple has shown in conformation in the 4 - 6 month old Beginner Puppy class at the Tarheel Cluster event in August 2019. She handled the environment like a pro: she was calm, focused, engaged and willing. Her lovely conformation and outstanding demeanor in challenging environments make her an excellent prospect for a career in showing (conformation, rally, obedience).
Maple's ideal family would be looking for a companion to be an active member of their family, as well as participate in sports and/or hunting. Maple has a ton of potential in the sport world and in the fields and will only be available to a home that will help her reach her fullest potential. She is a well-loved part of our family and will only go to a perfect home.
Maple has recently (5-months-old) been e-collar conditioned appropriately to recall. She understands the pressure well and will easily be collar conditioned to other behaviors. The collar has only been used with low stem or vibration for recall.
Maple is registered with both AKC and NAVHDA. She comes from an outstanding line of wild bird and hunt tested dogs. She is up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped.

Maple has passed the NAVHDA Natural Ability test with a max score of 112 for a Prize 1.
